The mood in one side of the Northern part of London is always visible when Arsenal is sure of winning a
game, or losing one. When in doubt, especially when they are against an uphill task;
It's always a masquerade in the form of a jacket on top of the red jersey. An emblem that even in the
coldest London winters, a staunch longtime supporter will be seen drawn in and you could see the pride in
their movements.

Blackstock Road that passes through Islington mostly consisitng of arsenal suppoters area of can look like a
departed town when Arsenal is playing. To a stranger, it might look like the city is waiting for someone to
come and destroy the ghostly creature that has kept them inside. And they will be wrong if they only pass by
for a few minutes. If they stay for a while, the screams from the bars or the stadium might make them go
crazy whenever an attempt has been made or a goal is scored by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Coming from Nairobi a few weeks ago and staying close to the Emirates Stadium, three blocks away, was like
being part of a larger extended family. That of soccer enthusiasts. A football community that has entrusted
Arsenal to deliver. Two seasons have gone by since Arsenal began it's resurgence. The spirits have risen,
and there's optimism around the club's future. With two games to go after a convincing win at the Emirates
against Bournemouth, winning the league ultimately lies with Manchester City fumbling any of their three
remaining games. The loss to Aston Villa at home and losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League
quarter-final nearly shuttered Arsenal’s hope. The sports bars became scattered once people realised what
these past two weeks meant for their season. These moments are not what they needed to empty the bars and
instead enjoy beers outside along the Blackstock Road streets. If they have to do it in a positive spirit,
they need to finally win the English Premier League for the first time in twenty years.
In the game against their derby rivals, Tottenham, they only needed a few chances, and they were clinical
when they got them. The presence of Partey made the team trudge with ease and less worried about their
backyard. He was immense! Questions about him staying at the club will be key at the end of the season.
Saliba breaking the defense line to man-mark Son whenever he came on the left side was part of the strategy
to keep the Spurs talisman out of the game. Maddison couldn't get a chance to shoot. The introduction of
Richalison was one of causing frustration, especially to his fellow Brazilian Gabriel Meghales. The Arsenal
defender was aware of his antics and kept playing his normal game while also keeping in mind the
substitute's intentional physical demeanors.
The absence of a Udogie at Tottenham's left back gave way for Saka to maneuver around Davies with ease. The
calmness in his first touches was exquisite. These passes mostly came all the way from the goalkeeper, David
Raya. This made Davies rely on his closest midfield teammates further relinquishing their movement forward
on the left wing. White and Odegaard, the shadow-man provided the added man advantage when Saka had gathered
everyone, a technical move from the coach Michael Arteta.

Kai Havertz feels more at home in London than ever. This was once again illustrated by the awareness of the
positions his closest teammates were in and the confidence of controlling the ball and taking on players.
With an added physical presence and pace, he could be more destructive in the current position Arteta has
entrusted him in. His layup play within a crowded surrounding has made his presence be felt more. He is
becoming intentional with his headers and more noticeable with some players always on the pickup and one on
the run.
When Liverpool could not hold the momentum to be on top of the league, the bars started becoming full again
in Arsenal's area of North London. The team has done well in everything they needed to do this season. They
have scored many goals and always seem to confirm their wins in the early stages of the games. Only a few
games that they had to hang on in the last few minutes. For now, there's hope that Arsenal’s arch-rivals
Tottenham could beat Man City at White Hart Lane in the next game. An unlikely god towards Arsenal finally
winning the league.
